There are two ways we recomend getting to Timor-Leste from Sydney Australia.

 

Option #1:

Book return flights from Sydney to Darwin cheapest option is usually
with Virgin Australia but check the web for discounted flight options.
Then book with Air North Darwin to Dili. 



Option #2:

Book return flights from Sydney to Bali with Virgin or if carrying excess luggage (as photographers do) try booking with Garuda
as they don't charge excess luggage for sporting equipment.

This option takes a little longer with a stay over required in Dempasar
but is usually cheaper due to the expensive nature of Darwin to Dili
flights and the saving in excess luggage.
