Timor-Leste

Join documentary photographers Pamela Martin and Belinda Pratten on a field workshop in Timor-Leste.

You will learn and work side by side with these photographers and other like-minded people.

This workshop is a six day/night trip to Dili, Timor-Leste.

 

There will be classroom talks and discussions about technique and the philosophy of working as a documentary photographer. We will work together for five days to document the people, culture and landscape, then back to the classroom for review and critical discussions. On the sixth day we will head
out with our cameras, with no pressure to review the work, just the time to put your new skills into
practise under our guidance.

 

The idea for this workshop is to attract people interested in global issues and culture, and to produce
a body of work telling a unique story about this new democracy at this point in time. You will be a student, but also a fellow documentary photographer. Included in the package is training, six nights accommodation (including breakfast and air conditioning), airport transfers and group transport to field trips through

the week.

 

We will stay in the same location and take you to eat out in some of Dili’s wonderful local restaurants.
We are happy to advise on other travel costs, including airfares, and any other questions regarding vaccinations and what to bring.
